Using Ghostfox

Initiating

After installing Ghostfox, a small icon will appear in the statusbar of Firefox that looks like Casper's face:
The Ghostfox status bar icon.

Hiding Firefox

To make Firefox invisible, just click on the Ghostfox icon in the status bar. The Firefox window will immediately disappear. Any time after first clicking the icon, your browser disappears if you move your mouse away from the browser area. This is what you do if someone is approaching your screen: just move the mouse pointer away and let the original application shine through. This will send Firefox back into hiding, inactive but listening, and waiting for you to summon it back.

Showing Firefox

When you are ready to surf again, move the mouse all the way to the left of the entire screen, then all the way to the right, and again all the way to the left. Firefox will show up again perfectly blended with your selected application. The page it will show will be exactly at the point where you were when you hid it.

Terminating Ghostfox

To return Firefox to its normal state, simply click the Ghostfox status bar icon, and Firefox will return to normal.

Ghostfox Settings

Ghostfox has a few settings that can be changed through the options panel from the Extentions window in Firefox:

Clicking "Options" in this window will open up the Ghostfox Settings window:

There are four different levels of styling that can be applied to your pages when Ghostfox is activated. They are laid out in the list below:

The "Panic/Ghostfox broke my Firefox/Restore default Firefox colour preferences" button is there in case, for any reason, the style settings stay in place after you deactivate Ghostfox. This can happen if you change your colour preferences while Ghostfox is activated.
